Awake
The winds is blowing the curtains as the birds are chirping happily by the tree. There's a girl lying on the bed inside the room unconscious and her body is connected to a few machines. Her face is very beautiful and alluring but too bad that her whole body is almost covered with bandages.
There's a few women coming inside the room to clean the place and also the unconscious girl.
"She's still not showing any reaction. It's a shame that the old man only found his long lost grand daughter when she is in this kind of state. The old man is getting older and the little kid needs his sister. He refused to talk until his sister is awake."
"I know right. Thank God the little kid is more clever and obedient than his peers, or else it will be a great challenge to take care of him."
Not long after they had left, there is a sound of running footsteps approaching the room. A little boy went inside the room and lock the door.
"Mommy, when will you wake up? I already went to the kindergarten. You broke the promise. You said you'll send me to the kindergarten everyday but you didn't even wake up to send me." the little boy whispered to the girl. He held her hands and fell asleep beside her.
Little did they know is that the girl is finally showing a reaction for the first time after the incident. There is a drop of tears escaping her eyelids. By the time somebody went in to get the little boy, the tear already dried.
"This kid always lock the door whenever he comes in. What a hustle. If he the old man didn't dote on this kid, I would have hit him. Who does he think he is? He is only the adopted brother of the young miss yet they treat him like he in one the heir of the family." The person who came to take the little boy complained.
"Wa... Ter..." the slow whisper made the woman had a goosebumps.
'Did I hear things wrongly.' She thought to herself and was about to leave the room with the kid in he hand when she heard it again.
She swallow her saliva and turns around cautiously. Turns out it was the young miss who had just spoke. She instantly shrieks out of reflexes and soon a few people come rushing.
"Why are you shrieking at this hour? Do you want to get fired?" an old man scolded her.
"Butler Jang.. You- Young asked for water earlier." she stuttered. "Call the doctors!" he immediately shouted and went to pour some water for the young miss. He gently lift her up and feed her the water. Indeed she had woke up. He heard her calls for water several times too.
A few minutes later the room was filled with a few doctors. Indeed it was remarkable to see her finally gaining her conciousness. Last year it was diagnosed that she will never survive and will only live like a living corpse with the support of the machines but the old man insisted on letting her alive and refused to take off the machines.
The doctors are mentally celebrating as they checked that she is definitely gaining her consciousness. They watched carefully as the girl's eyelids began to flutter.
"Taejun.." the girl whispers as she opened her eyes.
They are litterally celebrating when suddenly the girl coughs out blood and her heart rate becomes lower. The doctors instantly check her and gives her the right medicine. If anything happen to her, the old man will kill them.
Her eyelids becomes more and more heavy and her breathing becomes weaker. A few vision appears in her dream.
'Mommy! Why did you leave me? Don't you love me? Daddy and I am waiting for you here. Let's go mommy. Let's live happily.' A little boy is standing there and there's a man standing not so far behind him. It's the man that she loves. The love of her life. She wanted to go to them.
'Wait for me my child' she says in her mind.
Suddenly the vision was interupted by the sound of a loud horn before a crash is heard.
'Miss wake up! Call the ambulance!' Blood was literally everywhere. The driver had fled since he was the one at fault. The beautiful girl was lying helplesssly on the road while her eyes was searching for someone. Just as she saw the person and saw that he is safe, her eyelids closed. 'I'm already tired with this world.' she said in her mind.
'Mommy!!!' the little boy stumbles as he went to the girl. He was crying madly while shouting for the girl to wake up.
She had pushed him away earlier when the car was about to hit them which explained why the boy is fine with only a few light wounds.Deep down she knew that the driver hit them intentionally.
'Even after I had run away, you still won't let me live peacefully.'
Back to reality, the doctors are literally panicking as more blood comes out from her mouth. They kept looking at the monitor to make sure that her heart is still beating. They tried everything that they can to keep her alive. Right now it depends on her whether she still had the will to continue her life or not.
