Capítulo 73: Plunge

It was another hour or so before my door opened again, and I was finally sitting up in bed as I played with my nails. The dark red color still bothered me, and I glanced over to see Bellas standing in the doorway. He had a sad look on his face, and I frowned as I released my hand. The virtue was looking at the floor and I could still see the marks on his neck as he rolled his shoulders. I didn't doubt that the time he spent with Lee was intimate, but he didn't seem relieved or happy. He looked… broken. 

When I had known him as Morloc, I had never seen anything phase the man. We could be standing in front of the most horrific, graphic scene anyone could imagine, and he would never so much as bat an eye. He would command his team with the same cold, calculating voice we were used to, and even if we needed a moment, we knew better than to show it.  To see him look so sad, so broken… It hurt me in ways I couldn't explain.
