Everyone was very anxious for the next day. Why wouldn't they. It was going to be the day that their prince finally got married. And it would also be the day that they would see the face of their soon to be princess. All the people in the palace were eager to see her. And it was not really long from then.
Nahor too was eagerly waiting for the next day. He wanted to see his soon to be wife who had the courage to get married to him. He wanted to see if she would be able to look him in the eye and face him.
The only person who did not want tomorrow to reach was the soon to be bride Neya. Anyone would be surprised if the bride herself did not want her wedding day reach. But no one could understand Neya's situation apart from her self. To her it was like she was being forced to marry Nahor. She wanted to back out but it was already too late to back out of this. She had to remember one thing. She was not home where they would pamper her. She was in a foreign land where she did not know what would happen to her if she backed out when she had already said that she would do it.
Tomorrow had finally reached earlier than expected but there was no problem with that. Everyone was ready.. The musicians were ready with their instruments to play the sweetest songs.
The palace butler had made sure the food was well prepared and tasty.
Everyone in the palace was busy. If they weren't they had to find something to do. They would not want Nahor finding them so idle.
By sunrise everything and everyone was ready.
The only thing every one was waiting for was the soon to be couple.
Everyone hoped that by midday the wedding would be done but they made sure they did not keep their hopes high up. They were having some doubts but they kept those doubts to themselves. They would not risk sharing their thoughts and someone ends up telling Nahor and have their lives at Nahor's feet.
The royal family priest came to the place where the wedding was supposed to take place but there was no sign of the groom nor the bridegroom. The royal priest stood at the wedding altar for a long time waiting for the arrival of the bride and groom but there was no sign of them.
Everyone anxiously waited until midday but there was completely no sign of them.
Everyone hoped that the wedding would not be called off. How could it be. They had not yet seen the bride. They at least wanted to see the bride. The woman who had the courage to even think of marrying their prince. They considered her the bravest woman alive
Upstairs in Neya's bedroom, she was being beautifully dressed in her white wedding gown. Her makeup was already done by her maidservants. It was only light makeup but it still made a huge difference. She looked so stunning. Without makeup or not she still looked so beautiful. The maidservants had also helped her to fix her long hair into a big bunch. Well it was their job anyway. To make sure her beauty was maintained.
Anyone who was to look at her would say that she was the queen of queens. Never in her life had she ever thought that she would be treated like a princess. She had always imagined a simple life but this time fate had something else planned for her. She looked into the mirror and saw a different person. It was not the Neya she remembered . This time she saw a bold brave and determined Neya who was ready to face anything to get her grandma back. At this point she could not look back. She had to continue moving forward.
Neya then sat on her soft large bed. . After the maids had finished dressing her up. She sent them away and told them that she would be there in a short time.
She was not sure as to whether she would do this or not but she had no other choice. It was for her grandma. If she did get married and was able to to complete her task with in a short time then she would be out of there. She had to take this decision. She had already reached so far to back out.
This decision that she was making now was going to affect her future or even her whole life time. She was ready to face the consequences of this action. "I am the one who brought myself into this mess and I will make sure I do my absolute best to try and get out. If one makes a mistake, then one should pay the punishment for it. As for me I also made a great mistake that day when I walked into the woods so I will have to pay the punishment. Oh fate what a severe punishment you have given me. I miss you grandma. I only wish you were here,"Neya said as she started crying.
She then comforted herself. If she cried she would ruin her makeup and it would show that she was being a coward. She had to be brave. Even though she felt all alone she knew that her grandma was always by her side. She then gathered up the courage that was fading away from her and built it up once more.
She then said to herself,"I am ready. I will get married. Fate. I accept what ever you will throw at me. This is just the beginning. I challenge you fate. You will not write my future. I will be the author of my own future. I am ready to face you. I won't let you win,"Neya said as she wiped the tears off her cheeks. "I am ready,"she said to herself
