Lord Sherdane stared furiously at Gardat, many thoughts going through his head. He had been a fool! He thought he was successful after having killed the first and only son of Andor; he never thought that Andor would choose Sharma as his predecessor. As a new ruler.
"Isn't that rule applicable to the male child of a King?" He asked again, but this time, to Windermer.
Windermer took a few step forward, handing over the pillow in his hand to Verlock who took it from him. He turned to Sherdane and said, "It is also the law that the Kingmakers respect the King's Will."
The crowd began to mutter.
"Will?"
"There is a Will?"
Windermer stretched his hand to Weyback who brought forward a chest. He opened it and took out the wrapped papyrus paper. He raised it up to show the court. "In this paper, is the Will of Late King Andor of Aridal, written and signed in his blood...with his own hands!"
Mobert matched forward, stopping midway in confusion.
Lord Roquern remained where he stood watching the court's reaction, not looking surprised at the turn of events.
Bohan folded his hands and was enjoying the scenario, clear amusement on his face.
Mobert's wife was confused while the others in court were still murmuring amd whispering.
Windermer watched everyone's response to the unfolding. "Then I shall read it out now, shall I?" It was a rhetorical question. He removed the ribbon that held it in place and handed it to Gardat.
Gardat unrolled the paper and straightened it in his hands. Clearing his throat, he read out Loud:

To my Northern brothers,
the Kingmakers of Travudin,
•
On this night, the night of the Leap full moon, and the night of the Shadows, I, King Andor Wartaban of Metabul Aridal has chosen my predecessor—The Princess Sharma. You are to crown her the new Ruler and the First Queen of Metabul Aridal and no one is to go against my will. Anyone who goes against it commits treason and shall be sentenced to death without return.
I have explunged all laws that go against this crowning on the June Fourth night. This is my wish on my death bed.
Signed King Andor

Gardat looked at Sherdane who looked angered but was trying to control it, his hand balled into a fist.
"Is there anyone who wishes to go against the King's Will? You can speak up now."
When Windermer said that, the knights drew out their swords and faced the crowd, the guards holding their spears and getting ready to point it to whoever was willing to commit treachery.
Windermer's eyes watched the people's faces. "Remember that a change of power can only happen if the Princess decides to relinquish her title. If anyone comes out now and starts a riot, he will be put to the death!" He said to the court. Everyone went silent, dreading for whoever was willing to risk his life. After a moment of no one responding, "I suppose we can start the ceremony then."
He turned to Gardat who rolled up the paper and tied it with the ribbon. He placed it back into the chest and locked it.
A knight in black armor and a mask covering his face ran down the pathway and took it from Gardat. They looked at themselves with knowlede telling and gave a nod, suggesting that he knew what to do.
The Knight walked out of the courtroom with the chest in his hands. He walked down the passageway down to the ground royale where his horse and men stood and climbed unto it. They rode down the upper town, to the lower town towards the West gate and then out of the Kingdom.
In the courtroom, Sharma knelt down before the Kingmakers, Gardat coming forward with his pillow, on it was a sword—a new one that had been forged for her. "I present to you, Sherbate: the sword of truth– that you may rule like the Lion." He handed it to Sharma who took it from him and placed it in her belt.
Another Kingmaker named Fardom stepped forward. He was the youngest looking one of them, probably in his late fifties. "I present to you, Radan: the staff of justice– that you may cast rightful judgement, My lady." He passed it to her, which she collected with her right hand.
Verlock came forward and rose the hand of Sharma that carried the ring of Kings to the Court. "The Ring of Kings that the spirit of your forefathers be with you!" He kissed the ring, smiling at her before he returned back to his position.
Weyback walked forward with his pillow and faced her. "I present you the seal of Marbel– that you rule with wisdom with all your biddings."
Sharma smiled at him and collected it.
The Kingmaker Drane stepped forward with his own pillow that held a thick fur clothing. He gestured to Romayo to remove the robe Sharma was wearing. When she was done removing it, he handed the pillow to her and carried the clothing which rolled out in front of him. It was made of golden threads and foreign wool, white and gold in colouring. "I give you Westoche: the robe of grace– that you may abide by the law yourself." He wore the robe over Sharma's shoulder and patted it.
When they were done, Windermer stepped forward, Verlock following behind him holding the most important royalties of all—the crown. The one her father and the fathers before him had worn.
Verlock announced to the court. "I present the crown of Reign– that she may live long!"
Windermer picked it and raised it up into the air, "And as of this day, we crown you, princess Sharma Wartaban, Queen of Metabul Aridal, the greatest land of the white Lords, the queen of the kingdom of Dercy and the Wolves!"
As the crown landed on her head, Sharma felt two emotions; an emotion of responsibility and an emotion of courage. Her father was able to do it!
"Long live the Queen!" Windermer announced.
The other Kingmakers echoed with a smile on their faces. "Long live the Queen!!"
When the court started to reiterate the statement, Sherdane looked at the faces of everyone with anger he could no longer hide. And to his surprise, even his brother Roquern was chanting and Bohan was with a wide grin. The realization dawned on him like a bomb. They knew...
The chant reached the market place in the lower town and a boy ran in and shouted. "Princess Sharma has been crowned queen of Aridal!" He said with excitement.
"What? A queen?" A woman responded.
"Yes! She has been crowned the first Queen of Aridal!" The young boy replied.
"Long live the Queen!!" Someone else shouted.
"Queen??"
"Which Queen?"
"Princess Sharma has been crowned Queen!"
The people in the market started to rejoice and everyone started to chant "Long live the Queen!!!"
They shouted it all the way to the upper town and then to the palace. Some on foot, some on horses and others in carriages.
Long live the Queen echoed in the whole of Aridal.
In the Courtroom, people started to hear chants of the people surrounding the palace. When Sherdane heard it, he walked out of the courtroom, Mobert and his wife following behind.
Windermer smiled at Sharma and stretched his hands towards the court entrance. "Your people await, my Queen."
Sharma smiled back at him and walked towards the court entrance, down the passageway that led to the fore ground.
When the people saw her, they started to rejoice and instruments started to play. Some began to dance and merry filled the air.
Everyone started to fall to their knees and chanted "Long live the Queen!!"
