"She won't be petty enough to hold such a small grudge…" he sighed. 

If a glass of wine splashed at her could affect her to this extent and invoke her hatred, then Lu Xian would have felt uplifted. At least, he would have known how easy it was to move her heart, to make her love or hate someone. 

But that wasn't the case. He knew. 

No matter what kindness someone showed her, she remained unmoved. And similar was this. No matter how people hurt her or harmed her, she remained unmoved. 

Daisy Chen was like a wounded beast, keeping everyone at a distance. Unless her wounds were poked, she would not snarl. 

Like a dragon's reverse scales, her weaknesses needed to be touched in order to incur her wrath. 

And, he, more than anyone else knew that his mother's glass of wine could not do that. She was far from being that petty.
