After the recent encounter with Lu Xian, Chen Lina did not have any faith to spare on strangers. She did not want to trust anyone. She was inclined to believe that Daisy was just rejoicing her victory by sending her people and making her feel more miserable.

''Consequently, your lover also turned away from you. Oh, you chased him away.'' 

''Who. Are. You?"

''Does it matter again? What if I tell you? What if I don't? You knew who Lu Xian was but what changed in the end?" 

Chen Lina's shoulder slumped. Yes, she had put her faith in Lu Xian's credibility, his power, his history with the Chens and his entire identity but still, her entire world came crashing down just because that man also had his eyes on that slut. All his dealings with her had been purely with the intention of pleasing her only. 

A sonorous chuckle reverberated in the place, interrupting her trail of thoughts.
