The board of switches was a plain white panel on the wall. Dim symbols gleamed upon it, there were few options for light and other things.
But that part of the panel was smashed.
Feeble sparks came out of it, and Masumi tried to ignore everything as she pressed the button for lights.
Nothing happened.
However, she instinctively looked dawn.
There was a pair of bloodshot eyes looking back at her.
Daniel.
He was leaning against the wall, eyes red and one hand twisted at an odd angle. His neck seeped out blood that flowed endlessly, and his both legs were severed and missing.
But where his abdomen ended, his skin and bones were melted into a gooey mess with a disgusting stench.
Masumi could feel the bile rise up her throat.
"Ah," a deep voice whispered next to her ear, causing the hair on her neck to rise, "You're so good at pretending."
