Washington, USA 2031
In the office at the headquarters of the United States President, President Adrian summoned his deputy, Arthur, and when he arrived, Adrian told him: "You want to talk to me about What topic?"
Arthur replied: "Yesterday they welcomed me to a program and asked why our troops have been in Liberia for the past two years." Adrian sarcastically commented: "Come on, impress me with the answer."
Arthur replied: "I told them there had been a riot recently and we just wanted to protect our business and help them quell this riot."
Adrian said with a laugh, "An elegant answer that brings tears to the eyes of all who look at our humanity, Even if we were the ones who caused the riot in the first place."
Then he continued asking: "What is Clara's next topic? She said she was going to have a big surprise, and of course, you know we don't like her surprises."
Arthur replied: "She will talk about the issue of the Kru tribe in Liberia. When I asked my sources, I knew that she had proof that we had settled the tribe in a location with high radon radiation levels in the soil and today she was going to give a friendly talk to the tribe. But tomorrow she will take soil and plant samples."
Adrien sarcastically commented: "It makes no difference whether she can prove it or not.
All of the people know that this tribe is who have chosen to live there and we are not forcing them to do anything."
He then continued laughing: "Even though I'm sure she won't return from the trip the way she left."
Sapo Forest, Liberia 2031
When broadcaster Clara and her assistant were driving to the Kru tribe, her assistant woke her up and said, "You were mumbling as if you were fighting with yourself."
Clara commented: "It was just a scary dream." The driver, Omar, said enthusiastically: "Tell me about it, I interpret dreams excellently."
Clara began recounting her dream by saying:
"I woke up on the bank of a very blue river, and on the other side was a light gray horse. The strange thing is that the grass area where this horse stood was also gray, although the rest of the grass on both sides was bright green.
When I looked into the horse's eyes, I felt fear and goosebumps all over my body, as if the horse wanted to attack me, but the river between us prevented it.
I could not resist this fear and started running to the left, but the horse also started running in the same direction on the other side.
Despite all that, what scared me the most was that the grass turned gray as if burned and turned to ash when it touched the horse's feet.
Until my feet happened to stop involuntarily, I found myself standing in front of a group of trees with white leaves surrounded by snow on the other side, except for one tree with crimson red leaves.
When the horse arrived at that tree place, it disappeared, suddenly dark clouds gathered over the trees and it started to rain. The rain had a strange color as if mixed with a white substance.
Then, when the rain poured on all the trees, their leaves turned to ashes and were carried away by the wind, except the crimson tree, as its red-crimson color had just been washed away by the rain.
It turned into a red liquid, which then fell into the river. After that, the river also turned red, and I saw a group of very luxuriously dressed people gathering around this river and drinking water from it.
But the sight was terrible. They seemed to be drinking blood, not water. I noticed that as they drank more, their faces became more and more deformed until finally they exploded and died.
When I looked back at the trees, I saw that
they were gone. Then the gray horse appeared in front of me again. After that, I woke up."
Omar commented, "True, your dream was more complicated than expected, but I'll think about it and if I can explain it, I'll let you know when I get back."
Clara thanked him and then said: "I noticed most people know you. It sounds like you've been working in this profession for a while."
He replied: "You guessed it right, I've been a taxi driver since I was in my twenties." Then she continued to ask: "Do Kru people know you?"
Omar replied: "Actually I only know them superficially, but I think they know me well. The Kru tribe does not communicate with outsiders."
Clara looked stunned for a moment, then asked Omar: "So, can you introduce them to me since they know you?"
Omar replied: "Of course, I will try, but if they refuse, don't pressure them. They have gone through a lot of difficulties this year."Clara commented, "Of course, I will"
When they arrived at the tribe's location, it took Omar about half an hour to convince Crow that Clara just wanted to talk to them.
Finally, Crow agreed, and before Clara could ask him anything, an old woman came up to her and said, "I want you to talk to me."
Crow smiled and said, "She's my mother and she has the answers to all your questions, as she is the source of secrets for this tribe."
