Capítulo 36: Returning from the Duel

"Your majesty, are you alright?"

"Your majesty, I'm so happy you've awoken."

"Y-Your majesty...I-I'm so glad you've awoken."

I slowly wake up, hearing the worried voices of Lilith, Nix, and Kaos, all speaking at the same time.

"Am I not dead?" I ask.

"I know exactly what happened it was Mikael Calamitas, wasn't it?" Lilith speaks with a certain irritation when mentioning Mikael's name.

"...Yes, how do you know?" I inquire with doubt.

"This has happened to several powerful demons before. Mikael has an ability that allows him to challenge someone's soul to a duel on certain terms, one of which is that the location of the fight has to give an advantage to the challenged party, in this case you."

"Another term is that he can only call someone to this duel once in his life. Normally he forces powerful demons into this duel. I've been called before and it ended in a draw because time ran out, and I woke up."
