She always dreamt of a grand wedding, wearing a beautiful white gown, with her hair tied in a bun and tendrils cascading down her cheeks.

But most of all, she always thought she would walk down the aisle toward the man she loved with all her heart. The first boy she had fallen in love with.

"You look beautiful, Saige." She could still recall the first compliment he whispered in her ears as they walked out of her house toward his car that late afternoon.

Yes, he had convinced her to go with him as his date on prom night. Then, she sat in the passenger seat of his car with hands and knees shaking nervously.

She could almost hear her heart beating in her ears from how it loudly pounded inside her chest.

"Thanks, Xavier. You don't look bad, either." She cleared her throat, finding her trembling voice. Hopefully, her date did not notice.

But, of course, the smile on his face said that he did.
