It was then it dawned on me why my father was so upset. He was so upset and worried because he knew Amara wasn't back from school. Dread and worry filled my body as I wondered if my little sister was alright. It would kill me if she was harmed by that psychopath, Angeline.

How was I supposed to live with myself if she was harmed. Quickly, I rushed to my bathroom to get my phone. Without much thought, I called Rowan. I needed him to send his guards to protect her. At this moment, she was my priority. She was the one that needed to be protected.

My anxiety grew as all my attempts to call Rowan were in vain. They kept going to voicemail. Still I failed his number repeatedly. I didn't plan on stopping until I got a response. While I was busy calling his number, Celine came running into my bathroom, with her phone in her hand.

" Have you reached Rowan?" She asked. My lips were bound by worry so I could only shake my head instead of saying the word "No".
