Capítulo 115: Unknown Beauty

Dead silence!

No one and nothing moved. Even the air seemed to freeze. Ben didn't expect such a reaction nevertheless, he waited for them to calm their heads. After ten whole minutes people began to leave the gathering, away from the courtyard.

Thirty something people went down to less than fifteen. Disappointment flashed in Ben's eyes, but what could he do? Some left out of fear of the unknown, fear of what he is, and some because they were probably spies.

When only thirteen people remained Ben sighed and retrieved a scroll and unrolled it. He had them say their names and a few words of secrecy. Each and every words of theirs we're magically appearing on the scroll before vanishing as though nothing had happened. After receiving all their names he put the scroll back.

"Now it wouldn't be befitting if I were you tie you all to a contract without any benefits, now would it? From now henceforth everyone of you will have a 50% increase in their monthly wages and free lunch."

With that Ben left everything to Vivi, besides wasn't she the one that wanted a restaurant? Why not leave her to her thing.

Since this was the end of the week, Stephan would be returning back from the Hunter's Guild today. At dinner Stephan arrived and was glad to see Ben, but couldn't stay without freshening up. After cleaning up he join Vivi and Ben at the dining table. They chatted for a while.

Actually Stephan didn't want to have stayed at the Hunter's Guild for so long, he always felt somewhat awkward around Ben back then. That was why he didn't return after hearing Ben's arrival, yet at the end of the week he'll have to return.

"Guys, do you have any idea where I can open up a smithy?" Ben asked during dessert.

"Hmm, a smithy, why?" Vivi asked confused.

"I think two years without being behind a furnace is making my skills die out." Ben explained.

""You're a smith?""both siblings asked in shock.

"Yeah. Didn't I tell you guys before I left?"

"Oh my, this is great! With your smithing Hunters can have..." Stephan nearly jumped from his seat when he heard what Ben had to say. Thankfully he calmed and asked afterwards. "Ben, what level of smithing are you anyway?"

"Maybe in a month or two I'll become an Advanced-level blacksmith."

""!!!"" The siblings merely stared at Ben, mouth agape, eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

"Not without practice, that is."

"I don't think Lord Relet would give out a place for us to open up a smithy willingly." Vivi chimed in after some thoughts.

"What about the eastern side of the compound. It isn't used for anything at the moment. It's pretty barren too, will it do?" Stephan suggested.

"Yes! That should be perfect." Ben suddenly remembers that part of the large compound. "Urgh guys, have you thought of having a butler?" Ben questioned.

"Yes, actually. At some point we did, but we decided to wait for you when you return to do it."

"Hmm, although you could have done so yourselves without my help it's still okay. Do you have anyone in mind?"

"Well, we do have a few." Vivi who mainly stayed at home to handle the affairs said. She was the best person to who is quite qualified for the job.

For the next one month Ben's life was quite relaxing. Asides his daily meditation he would watch over the chefs as they learn the new dishes. From there he would go see how the building of the smithy was going. By the third week the smithy was finally complete, all that was left were the tools. That he'll leave for the end of the month.

One Month Ago...

"Mullin, what do you think happened?" Ander stood besides Mullin as they overlook a body currently laying on the bed.

"A fight I presume. It should be done by those Green Fixed Hyenas, poisonous bastards." Mullin replied shaking his head. "It's a miracle there's still life, I don't think anyone can survive that long."

"I think it has something to do with the Ice Elemental Seed."

"Tell me something I don't know." Mullin groaned.

"I don't get I though. Why such a beauty have to face life in the wastelands?"

"That, I do not know."

"Mullin, I don't think she's gonna wake up if y don't help her." Ander looked at Mullin.

"You... You must be kidding. You're kidding! There's no way in hell I'm doing that!" Mullin roared as he paced round the room muttering to himself about why he shouldn't do what Ander is asking for.

"..."

"Fuck!!" He cones back to stand by the bed. "Just know you fucking owe big time, got it?"

"Got it." Ander answered with a playful grin. He is one amongst the few that knows about Mullin's real identity.

Mullin stretched both his wide muscular arms, placing his left on her head and right on her chest. Seeing Mullin's hands on her chest Ander couldn't help but snort lightly. Milky white radiance began to appear between his hands. His eyes shining with the same hue. It made him look like a god in tattered clothes.

Invisible wind began swirling in the room, circulating round Mullin and the bed holding the unconscious figure. Ander had knowingly backed off in time.

The more the wind grew the more the room became filled with rich Life energy. Unlike those of the elves which was green in the making, his is the same color as his eyes; Milky blue. The Life energy resembling fireflies moved towards Mullin from all directions. Their glow even outshined the candles that we're lit.

Mullin lifted his hand that rested on the woman's head and scoped some of the energy then directly drove it into her head. This simple move made her scrunched up eyebrow to ease up. The pained expression she had was all gone. It had also brought her out of her comatose state.

Lifting his hand which rested on her chest he repeated the same motion, but this time he did it faster and with a lot more Life energy.

One, two, three, four...

Mullin's huge palm kept slamming her chest with more Life energy than the last. Trust is, what Mullin is doing right now can be considered extremely dangerous if he was to be any second late while shoving Life energy after Life energy into the woman, she might have died.

Successfully easing her mind from the pain which was no different from disarming her, it made her vulnerable and unable to unconsciously fight back the poison that still remained in her body. That means her control over her body was shut down, her control over her Elemental Seed - which is the main reason she is still alive - was shut down.

Sweat began falling from Mullin's forehead. He never expected the poison to be so much in such a small body that he now has difficulty containing it as time passes. Seconds turned into minuted. Minutes turned into hours. After three hours Mullin wasn't able to go on any longer.

In this short three hours a lot changed in him. His mid-thirties appearance was now that of a sixty year old hag. Gray hair began sprouting on his head and chin, even his body became sagged. Eye bags and wrinkles were imminent on his face. Any second now he may fall.
