Capítulo 226: Dark Night

I stuffed myself into a pair of divided skirts and riding boots, tucked in a loose blouse, and started grabbing stockings, boots, riding habits, praising Ash for reminding me about a cloak, those strange underclothes, a nightgown and the robe and… and suddenly I was standing there with a bag mostly full and it was time to walk out.

My breath caught as I threw the strap of the bag over one shoulder, but something felt off. Wrong.

If I left now, just walked out and either got myself killed or somehow back to my world… that was it. David would never know—never be confronted with what he'd done.

Probably assume I'd been taken by Ash…

No fucking way.

Storming through to the little table in the sitting room where they always left parchment and quill for writing messages, I dipped the quill, cursing when I splattered ink, but prayed the note was legible.
