After Nami joined their crew, Ryu realized that they needed a chef. So, after plundering a pirate ship, they managed to acquire some navigation charts. With Nami's expertise, they were able to pinpoint the location of the Sea Restaurant Baratie and set sail towards it.
Two days passed, and they finally arrived at the renowned restaurant. It was already lunchtime, and they had to find a place to park the Golden Merry between two large boats. As Ryu stepped onto the deck, he heard a system prompt.
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for successfully arriving at the check-in location, Sea Restaurant Baratie. +10% increase in leg strength."
Ryu smiled, feeling satisfied with the strength boost. He joined the others at a table, and Nami sweetly asked him, "Captain Ryu, what would you like to eat?"
Before Ryu could answer, a blond-haired boy with slightly curly hair leaped towards them. Ace, frowning, was about to unsheathe his sword, but Ryu swiftly intervened, placing his hand on Ace's sword to stop him.
As the boy approached, he pulled out a rose seemingly out of thin air and knelt down, saying, "Beautiful lady, please accept this rose as a symbol of our love."
Nami blinked in confusion and asked, "Are you talking to me or Kuina?"
The boy glanced at everyone on the table and asked, "Is there another lady?"
Kuina felt a pang in her heart, as if an imaginary arrow had struck her. In Ryu's mind, he could faintly hear an imaginary voice saying, "Emotional Damage," but he knew he must be imagining things.
Amidst laughter, Luffy and Zoro chuckled, tears streaming down their faces. "Hahaha, Kuina was mistaken for a boy!!"
"SHUT UPPP! I'M A GIRL!!" Kuina screamed, projecting a wooden katana in her hand and repeatedly smacking Zoro and Luffy on their heads until they fainted.
Calmly, Ryu restrained Kuina, who still wanted to strike the young boy. "That's enough, Kuina. I'm sure he didn't mean any harm."
The onlookers sighed with relief as the trouble quickly dissipated, and they resumed enjoying their meal in peace. Ace chuckled and remarked, "I have to say, this is quite the interesting restaurant."
Usopp surveyed the place and said, "Is it just me, or are these chefs scarier than usual?"
Koby shivered in fear," The waiter has a scar across his eyes."
Sabo also noticed the fierce-looking and muscular chefs and added, "Yeah, no kidding. Some of them seem capable of taking on royal guards."
Timidly, Koby asked Ryu, "Captain Ryu, why did we come to this restaurant?"
Nami chimed in eagerly, "Did we come here to rob the restaurant?"
Ryu retorted, "Of course not. What kind of person do you think I am?"
Before Ace could interject, Ryu silenced him. "That was rhetorical. We came here to find a cook!"
Sabo scratched his head, confused. "Do you plan to select a chef from this group of chefs?"
Ryu shook his head. "No, I've already found our chef."
Zoro snorted, "Who? That perverted waiter? Never! And what if he can't even cook?"
"Trust me, he is a skilled chef and a formidable fighter," Ryu assured them.
Luffy waved his hands excitedly. "Yosh! Let me handle it, Ryu-niisan!"
Luffy rushed towards the curly-haired Sanji, jumping onto his shoulders. "Hey, Curly Hair, do you know how to cook?"
Sanji, annoyed by the impish Luffy, looked down and said, "Stop it! Get off me! And to answer your question, I am the best chef on this boat right now."
"Liar," muttered Usopp under his breath.
Luffy persisted, clinging to Sanji. "I won't let you go until you accept our invitation."
Sanji, unable to shake Luffy off, grabbed him and spun him around, accidentally knocking down Head Chef Zeff. When Luffy regained his senses, he cried, "I'm sorry, Uncle Peg-Leg! I accidentally broke your leg when I hit you!"
Zeff grabbed the crying boy and lifted him up. "Oi! Gaki! I was already like this before you hit me."
Luffy stopped crying, surprised. "Eh? Are you telling me the truth?"
Zeff nodded. "Besides, I think Sanji should go with you."
Sanji screamed, "Old man, what do you mean?"
Zeff sighed. "Sanji, you're the worst cook among us. Your cooking tastes terrible. I don't want you to stay here; Go away from my boat."
Unable to hold back his tears, he ran away from the dining hall of the restaurant and knelt down on the deck of the ship.
Ryu approached Sanji and said, "Do you still think your cooking is that bad?"
Through tears, Sanji replied, "Of course! Why else would Chef Zeff insult my cooking?"
Ryu lifted Sanji up and said firmly, "That's not true. Zeff wants you to hear that so you can realize your true potential. Now, let's hear the truth from his words."
Ryu guided Sanji to a hiding spot near the restaurant. Ace was ready to play his part.
Ace approached Zeff and asked, "Head Chef, I tasted Sanji's cooking just now. There's no way he's as bad as you described. Why are you scolding him like this?"
Zeff sighed, his face filled with sorrow. "Boy, do you know how I got this peg leg? Sanji and I were stranded on a desert island, and in order to conserve food, I cut off my own foot to reduce our consumption. Since then, Sanji has been adamant about staying with me. But that's not what I want for him. I want him to chase his own dreams, to become the best chef and find the All-Blue. That's why I scolded him."
The other chefs joined in, praising Sanji's hard work and determination.
Moved by their words, Sanji made his decision. He kneeled before Zeff and said, "Goodbye, Head Chef Zeff. I will always remember my debt to you."
With cheers from the chefs of Baratie, the crew of the Golden Merry set sail, Sanji now a part of their crew. As they left the restaurant behind, Sanji sat on the front deck, silently shedding tears of gratitude. Ryu walked up to him and said, "Do you really think your cooking is that bad?"
Still sobbing, Sanji replied, "I believed it because Chef Zeff said so."
Ryu lifted Sanji's chin gently and smiled. "Sanji, your cooking is amazing. Trust in your skills and keep improving. Together, we will reach new heights."
Sanji's resolve hardened, and he boarded the Golden Merry, ready to embark on a new adventure with his newfound nakama. Accompanied by the cheers of the Baratie chefs, they set sail, eagerly anticipating the next chapter of their journey.
While they were on the boat, Ryu gathered everyone together and said,"Sanji, come here, I will give you a special power now."
"System, draw a lottery for Sanji."
" Ding, the crew mate Sanji has obtained the Sacred Gear: Boosted Gear."
"Ding, the host's lottery is being drawn. Congratulations to the host for getting the skill,' Adolla Burst.' The Host can move at almost light speed for two seconds a day."
Ryu saw that after Sanji got the boosted gear, dragon like scales appeared on his foot rather than his arm. Surprised, he checked with the system,'Why is Sanji's Boosted gear on his leg while Issei's is on his arm.'
'Ding, Host, A sacred gear is a manifestation of a great power and human desire. Sanji wanted to inherit the name of Red-Foot Zhef so he subconsciously chose to enhance his foot skills. Thus, the Sacred Gear manifested on his legs instead.
After Sanji grew stronger, he looked at Ryu with confusion within his eyes. Ryu explained," Sanji, this is called the Boosted Gear. As long as your strength and stamina is strong enough, you can double your attributes indefinitely."
With bright expectations for the future, the crew of the Children's pirates set sail on their new adventure.
