Capítulo 156: Tarnish His Reputation

Alex felt goosebumps rise all over his body as he stood still with Buddy in his arms, staring at the lady standing by his gate and looking back at him.

Although it had been over twenty years since he last set eyes on her, somehow, he still recognized her.

It seemed like, unlike his father, the years had been fair to her. She still looked just as beautiful as she had always been, even though from where he stood, he could see some gray hairs in her beautiful jet-black hair.

The same hair he had loved to touch when he was younger. He had enjoyed watching her comb her hair, and she had even let him help at times when his father was not home with them.

"Alex," she called softly with tears in her eyes as she took a step towards him, breaking whatever spell had held them transfixed a moment ago, and immediately, Alex's eyes hardened.

"What are you doing here?" He asked harshly.

"I'm here to see you…."
