Capítulo 26: The Two Insomniacs

Editor: Henyee Translations

"Liuli, you're such a sweet talker! Actually, your uncle is the best bartender!"

"My uncle?" Liuli turned around to look at Tang Moxi in confusion. In the next second, she turned to look at Ken in shock. "Are you talking about him?"

"Who else could I be talking about?! Don't you know?" Ken replied with a smile.

"I didn't know!" Liuli replied truthfully. Then, she looked at Tang Moxi and asked, "Really?"

"Don't drink too much," Tang Moxi reminded her calmly.

"I know!" Liuli pouted as she replied. She couldn't get drunk on this, right?!

She didn't believe Ken, who said that Uncle Tang knew how to mix drinks.

It wasn't that simple to mix drinks, so how could he learn it so easily?!

As Tang Moxi chatted with Ken, Liuli sat at the side and drank her cocktail quietly while enjoying the atmosphere of the bar.

This place was really different from what she imagined. It gave off a quiet and comfortable feeling.

Unknowingly, Liuli finished the cup of Baileys Irish Cream.

When Tang Moxi heard the sound of the drink being finished, he turned around and saw that Liuli had already finished her cocktail.

She completely ignored what he said just now, when he told her not to drink too much.

"What else do you want?" Ken asked with a smile.

"Can I continue drinking?" Liuli asked with shining eyes.

"Of course. My treat today!"

"Just give me what's the most expensive," Liuli replied firmly.

Ken was stunned for a moment, but then he smiled.

"I like how frank you are!"

"Don't have any designs on my people," Tang Moxi replied calmly with a frown.

"You can't interfere in your niece's dating situation, right?!" Ken complained.

"I can't control my niece, but I can control my fiancée!"

After Tang Moxi replied, he turned to look at Liuli.

"It's about time. We should go now!"

Then, he carried Liuli down from the high chair and held her hand as they walked towards the door.

"Don't forget to attend my wedding next month!"

This was directed at Ken.

Liuli was still a little vexed. On the one hand, it was because Uncle Tang had brought her here, but they left so soon. On the other hand, Uncle Tang had treated her like a child again!

"You're kidding me!" After coming back to his senses, Ken said from behind them.

"It doesn't matter if he's here or not, as long as the red packet is here!" Tang Moxi replied.

"Uncle, I want to drink more!" Liuli protested.

"Drink it when we get back!" Tang Moxi sounded gentle and helpless, as if he was coaxing a child.

"I can't get such a delicious cocktail at home!" Liuli muttered.

"I'll make it for you!" Tang Moxi comforted.

Liuli finally compromised and followed Uncle Tang out of the bar.

After getting into the car, Liuli turned to look at Tang Moxi and asked,

"Uncle, do you really know how to mix drinks?"

Her face was filled with anticipation!

"No!" Tang Moxi replied curtly.

"Uh…" So he was just teasing her just now!

In the end, Tang Moxi brought Liuli to his private apartment.

Liuli followed Tang Moxi into the house and looked around as she asked curiously,

"Where are we?"

"Where I live!"

"Aren't you living in the Tang family's home?"

"This is my private apartment!"

"Oh, I understand. A cunning rabbit has three burrows and this is one of them.

Or it can be called a golden house!" Liuli explained with a smile.

"What?" Tang Moxi asked in confusion as he turned to look at Liuli.

"It's a golden house with a mistress!" Liuli explained with a smile.

"Where did you hear all this nonsense?!" Tang Moxi was amused.

"My classmates all say that men become wicked after they get rich!" Liuli replied.

"It's best to keep your distance from your classmates in the future!"

"That won't do. I'll become a lonely bird!"

"What's a lonely bird?" Tang Moxi frowned.

"It's someone who doesn't have any friends. I'll be a migratory bird that lags behind!" Liuli had an expression that said, "Uncle, you're so stupid."

Tang Moxi had to admit that he couldn't keep up with this little girl's way of thinking.

The generation gap between them was really big!

"Sit. If you want to watch TV, turn it on yourself. I'll go cook something!" Tang Moxi picked up the remote control and placed it on the tea table.

"Didn't you say you would mix drinks for me?" Liuli turned around and asked with a wink.

She was unwilling to give up!

"Ken was just joking with you. I don't know how to mix drinks." With that, Tang Moxi walked straight into the bedroom to change clothes.

Liuli pouted in frustration. She knew that Brother Ken couldn't be trusted.

Frustrated, she took the remote control and turned on the television.

A movie was playing and the lead was an actor she liked.

Liuli immediately perked up.

She sat on the sofa and watched with relish.

Soon, she quickly forgot about her unhappiness.

Liuli smelled a delicious scent halfway through.

It seemed to be coming from the direction of the kitchen.

After Liuli put down the remote control, she got up and walked over.

Uncle Tang was wearing an apron and standing in front of the induction stove while cooking something.

That was the first time Liuli had seen Uncle Tang cook.

It was also the first time she had seen a man cook.

It gave her a sense of surrealness.

Her father and grandfather both believed that men should stay away from the kitchen.

When Tang Moxi turned around, he saw Liuli standing at the kitchen door and staring at him in a daze.

"It'll be ready in a while," Tang Moxi replied with a smile.

"Oh, so you know how to cook!" Liuli said in disbelief.

"I'm not very good at it, but I can cook simple foods."

"The person who marries you in the future will definitely be very lucky!" Liuli replied.

Tang Moxi didn't respond and just smiled at her.

Liuli only reacted a moment later.

She and Uncle Tang were getting engaged next month.

Wasn't she talking about herself?

"I mean the second person to marry you!" Liuli explained.

"There will be no other person. You'll be the only one!" Tang Moxi replied.

"Oh! Then I'm quite lucky!" Liuli replied again. Clearly, her thoughts had already drifted away and she didn't realize what Uncle Tang said.

"Sit at the dining table and wait. It'll be done soon," Tang Moxi instructed.

"Do you need my help?" Liuli was a little embarrassed about waiting to eat without helping.

"Then help me get the bowls and chopsticks," Tang Moxi said as he pointed at the cupboard.

"Okay!" Liuli immediately went to wash her hands and get bowls and chopsticks. Then, she sat at the dining table and waited patiently for the delicacies to be served.

Tang Moxi brought the cooked supper to the table.

He didn't eat much for dinner, partly because he had no appetite, and partly because he had to take care of his grandfather.

When he returned to the apartment, he realized that he was really hungry.

After Tang Moxi scooped a bowl for Liuli, he reminded her to be careful.

Then, he scooped a bowl for himself and sat down to eat.

As Liuli looked at Uncle Tang, he felt that as a man who knew how to cook, he was even more handsome now!

Hence, as she ate supper, she stole glances at Uncle Tang.

Unknowingly, she finished a bowl. Liuli felt a little stuffed. After all, she had eaten a lot for dinner.

Although more than two hours had passed since they finished dinner,

When Tang Moxi scooped a second bowl for her, Liuli quickly said,

"I just need a little. I'm full."

"Take your time," Tang Moxi said as he scooped a second bowl for her.

"Uncle, do you think I have that big of an appetite?" Liuli asked gloomily.

"Having a big appetite is a blessing!" Tang Moxi replied calmly.

"Sigh, if I continue to eat like this, I'll become a pig!" Liuli sighed.

"It's fine. I like chubby girls!"

Liuli was speechless!

Was he comforting her, encouraging her, or mocking her?

Liuli ate the second bowl very slowly because she was really full already.

As she ate, she started nitpicking.

"Uncle, I don't like eggs!"

"Give it to me!" Tang Moxi reached out with the bowl.

Liuli didn't expect Uncle Tang to not mind eating what she had eaten and was a little touched.

After a while, Liuli said,

"Uncle, I don't like vegetables!"

Uncle Tang reached over with the bowl again.

Liuli put more and more of her food into Uncle Tang's bowl.

As she ate, she asked with a smile,

"Are you a little unhappy?"

After eating too much, she became more talkative as well.

"What do you mean?" Tang Moxi looked up at Liuli and asked.

"When you're in a bad mood, you should eat more. When you're full, you won't be sad anymore.

That's how it is for me!" Liuli replied.

Tang Moxi smiled at Liuli.

"Are you in a good mood today?"

"Do you want to hear the truth?" Liuli blinked innocently.

Tang Moxi nodded.

"Actually, I don't know if I'm in a good mood or a bad mood. My mood is quite complicated.

She felt a little conflicted!

You can understand, right?" Liuli looked at Tang Moxi and asked.

Tang Moxi didn't answer directly. He only smiled.

"Tell me about it!"

"I just don't want to get married so early!

Who would get married before the age of 30 nowadays?!

Besides, you know that we're actually not very familiar with each other. It's strange to get married like this, isn't it?

But I can't go against my family's wishes.

I can't disappoint Elder Tang either!

"If anything happens to Elder Tang because I rejected this marriage,

I'll be a sinner.

Sigh, if I had known earlier, I wouldn't have been so beautiful, so cute, and so likable!" Liuli supported her chin as she said in distress.

"Marrying me is that terrible thing?" Tang Moxi raised his eyebrows and asked with a smile.
