Capítulo 64: The stranger

The weekend had arrived. Abigail had successfully completed her term as Christopher's secretary, and she was supposed to resume her training Monday. However, she was going on vacation the next day.

She had already applied for leave but had not informed Jasper yet. She dialed his number.

"Hello…" Jasper was quick to respond to the call. "You have successfully completed your first job. Congratulations."

His cheerful voice brought a smile to her face.

"Thank you. I didn't do anything special. Christopher was kind enough to teach me everything."

She blushed as she thought about their romantic trip.

Hearing her praise Christopher, Jasper's smile vanished. He didn't like how she always brought up Christopher when they talked. He wanted to warn her not to bring up his name too frequently.

The truth was that he couldn't say so.

Abigail was married to Christopher, and this was the reality he could never ignore. She was not his.
