"What is she doing here?" Adrian asked as soon as he stepped into his cabin and took his seat.

Christopher had not yet sat down. He paused in the middle, his gaze on him. He then slowly pushed the chair away and straightened his back.

Adrian's expression told him everything that he just wanted to ask him about why Abigail was here. In reality, he had nothing to talk about.

Christopher hardened his face and said in a flat tone, "She is here to work."

"Why does she need to work in the first place?" Adrian asked fiercely. "Isn't she sick? Can't she just stay at home and rest?"
