Capítulo 18: No Dinner

Stephanie's POV 

Stephanie was flabbergasted; she could not believe what she was seeing. She knew this was all fake, but why? Why did he come to meet her if he already had someone, someone his grandfather knew? Was this some kind of prank, a ploy to humiliate her? Was his grandfather aware? Was the whole story a lie? But why would he not only do that but also give her a lot of money? She had so many unanswered questions, but right now she didn't care. She just needed to get out of that space.

"Excuse me," she said, picking up her bag and running out of the living room with tears in her eyes. She could hear Alexander calling out for her. She didn't know why she was crying. This wasn't worth her tears. Curse her stupid, stupid heart.
