Capítulo 90: Her father's visit

After his run-in with his mother that morning, Patrick had gone back to work. He was relieved that she refrained from bringing up the subject more, and he eventually left the house.

He was in his office working for nearly the whole day.

Later, as Susan entered her boss's office, she said, "Are you not going for lunch?"

He asked, not taking his eyes from his monitor, "Isn't lunch break over already?"

Her brief response was, "It has."

Alex told his supervisor, "Mr. Henry and Alan said you will answer some questions."

Without responding to Alex's statement, he said, "Thanks for swaying them away." He had too much on his plate to join his friends for lunch.

"It's nothing. I know you have a lot on your hands right now, but you need to go and eat," Alex replied.

He nodded and fulfilled his boss's order, saying, "I'm fine. Just order any light food for me." "Susan, what is next on my schedule?"
