Capítulo 91: Extra money

Mr Wallace could swear he missed seeing his daughter on her machine when he arrived home to find her mending some clothes.

She merely greeted him before going to get him some water.

"Here it is." After handing him the glass of water, she returned to her machine to continue her work.

He entered the room without saying anything to his daughter.

When her brother returned from school later that day, he saw how his sister and their father were acting, and he chose that moment to speak up while they were cooking.

"Phina, did you tell your father last night about your relationship?" He inquired.

"Yes," she nodded.

He added matter-of-factly, "I can guess it didn't turn out well based on how you are sounding."

She nodded in response, saying, "Yes. He believes I'm just falling in love with his words and wealth. He's not interested in hearing my feelings. He believes that I'm deluding myself."
