Though the flight was a short one, Mary hadn’t uttered a word. She easily sensed the worry rolling off of both Rocco and Takeshi, but thankfully, the two just left her to it. Rocco didn’t need too much of an explanation, but she knew there would have to be a sit-down with Takeshi about all this soon.
As the plane descended into the familiar airport, Mary could feel the hair on the back of her neck standing on end. Takeshi still didn’t say a word, but simply took her hand in his. Mary jolted slightly, quickly realizing that she had been off in her own little world this whole time. She gave him an apologetic smile as he gave her hand a loving squeeze. Mary let out a quivering sigh as they disembarked the plane. Takeshi looked around as they walked down the steps to the limousine that awaited.
"Interesting." Takeshi commented, half to himself.
