Capítulo 36: Chapter 36: Land of the Rising Sun

Mary and Takeshi packed their bags in relative silence. This was mainly due to Mary’s nerves being on end. It was finally happening. She was meeting Takeshi’s father. It was finally time for her to meet the only other person that Takeshi held in a higher regard than her.

'He's also the reason why I had to live without Takeshi for so long.' She thought bitterly.

Mary knew better than to blame someone else for her life choices and the events that transpired. She was more than aware that she was a big girl who made her own decisions. However she wasn't able to shake that one little "What if?" that lived rent free in the dark recesses of her mind.

'What if he didn't get sent away? What if I was at least able to go with him? Would I have had the run-in with Vincento that I did? Would Bloody Mary even exist today?'
