Capítulo 90: The promise

Amira woke up feeling groggy and disoriented. Her head ached. For a few seconds, she thought that she was dead. Her eyes squinted trying to adjust to the darkness in the room. Her heart skyrocketed the next minute when tight familiar hands snaked around her waist pulling her into a warm body. 

His scent flooded her senses as she tried hard not to break into tears. She had thought that she would never feel his warmth again. She thought that he was dead already. The image of his pale body lying unresponsive beneath her filled her mind making her shake uncontrollably. 

Her tears fell soaking his clothed chest as she clung onto him. She felt so afraid that it was all a dream. Was she perhaps also dead and reunited with her beloved? She was uncertain about everything. It felt so real. As though what she had experienced before was just a nightmare.
