An ability that would take over a month to master, took her three days. Of course, it came with consequences. She had to master it completely to ensure that she wouldn't cause him harm. 

Hence, she had a bled by her side which she would use to cut herself open. She would then taste her newly acquired skill on herself. 

Three days later and the pregnant woman was on the verge of a breakdown. Her body was drenched in sweat. 

Exhaustion marred her features, her body barely holding on. If not for her determination to revive him, she would have long succumbed to the darkness. 

Maimuna could barely move from where she sat. She resorted to crawling towards the bed, reserving the last bit of her energy for her beloved. 

By the time she made it onto the bed, her knees were bloody and sore. She didn't feel the pain of her separation to heal anymore.
