Shahzad woke up sometime later feeling better and more relaxed. Even before opening his eyes, he knew for certain that a certain someone was curled up into his arms as she slept peacefully.
He smiled. The headache and tiredness that he had felt before were long gone. He felt blissful and fresh. Shahzad wanted to sit up but with Zamarad in his arms, he couldn't.
She was a light sleeper. A slight movement from his part would alert her. Despite his lack of movement, she woke up anyway. " Are you feeling better?" She asked, eyes still closed.
" Did I wake you? I am sorry. I feel fine, thank you very much. You took care of me like a good little wife. It's my turn to take care of you now."
Zamarad was feeling lazy hence she let him sit up. Shahzad looked around the tent and discovered the nest pile of scrolls at the foot of the bed. A sour feeling rose in his chest. Just the thought of all the work waiting to be done was enough to ruin his mood.
