In response to Coulson's analysis, Nick Fury nodded in agreement and said, "We'll arrange for personnel to look up this information, focusing on any ninja-related data."
"Since he mentioned wars and enmity between families, it's highly probable that it was before the periods of World War I or World War II."
"After all, during those wars, the country wasn't divided into multiple sections; wars between families all happened during the shogunate era, with small-scale battles at best."
"The new lower-level ninja called Naruto Uzumaki, with his standard blond hair, might suggest that their team consists not only of Asians but also other racial members as well."
"Since it is an organization with extraordinary powers, we need to broaden our perspective. Perhaps it's not just Asians, but there may be more diverse ethnic groups involved."
Upon hearing the director's words, Coulson nodded. However, he didn't pay much attention. Since the other party could coexist for decades or even centuries, they must have assimilated many races long ago.
Could they really expect the other party to be identified based on a few features? Nonetheless, Coulson didn't show any peculiarities and calmly said, "Director, the key point is that we haven't obtained information about the two founding families."
"I plan to obtain the names of those two families through an intelligence mission the next time we meet. I believe that having the names of these two families might make the investigation a little easier."
"Alright, I will leave this matter to you. Obtain as much information as possible in a short period."
"If possible, find out why they need energy blocks. After all, these things can be used to create energy weapons, and their power should not be underestimated."
However, Coulson was unaware that Charles and his companions were not from this world.
Even if he were to tell them these names, they wouldn't find any useful information in the files. Even if there were similar names, it would be dubious and of no reference value.
"Coulson, what do you think of their ninja classification and strength?"
Coulson didn't respond directly. After pondering for a moment, he took out a picture of Rock Lee and said, "We already have basic information about this ninja."
"We've also conducted an analysis of Rock Lee's strength and abilities. His strength and speed are no weaker than the former Captain America, and perhaps even stronger."
"We just don't know how long his displayed strength and speed can be sustained, as well as how strong his defense is."
"However, based on the known information, ordinary task forces would find it difficult to cause harm to the other party, and this kind of person is only at the level of a lower-level ninja."
"Considering his age, it's not impossible to say that he's a recent graduate as a lower-level ninja. Above this, there are middle-level ninjas, upper-level ninjas, and possibly even higher levels that we are not aware of."
"Higher levels?" Nick Fury asked in surprise.
"Yes, Director. According to the intelligence, there is already an upper-level ninja in Charles Doyle's vicinity, and this upper-level ninja also follows Charles's orders."
"That means there must be someone giving orders above this level, instructing her to obey Charles's commands."
After pondering for a moment, Nick Fury said, "It's quite reasonable. In a world of extraordinary powers, strength is paramount."
"Weak individuals cannot truly command the powerful."
Nick Fury couldn't help but think of his old friend Carol Danvers. Although he could ask for her help, he couldn't command her to do anything.
Otherwise, she wouldn't be out there traveling through the stars but would be left on Earth, obeying the government or military's orders.
"Director, based on the currently known intelligence, I suggest that we refrain from conflicts with them for the time being. Our main focus should be on determining their numbers, strength, and scale."
"Moreover, through this mission commission, we can directly utilize their strength to complete some tasks and conduct some tests."
Nick Fury was astonished. "Are you suggesting that we commission tasks to them?"
"Like hiring mercenaries, or outsourcing some military tasks?"
Coulson nodded. "This intelligence mission was proposed by Charles. He also emphasized the rules."
"His agency itself accepts various commissioned tasks. We can use this method to entrust them with some particularly arduous, or even military tasks. On the one hand, it can reduce our losses, and on the other hand, it can be a way to test their strength."
"After all, although the other party has informed us about the differences in ninja ranks, some detailed data is still unclear."
"Additionally, during the conversation with Charles, I recorded the entire process with a pinhole camera. The scientific team will analyze the intelligence information later."
Upon hearing Coulson's suggestion, Barton suddenly spoke up, "Director, outsourcing military tasks doesn't seem to comply with the rules."
Seeing Barton speak, Nick Fury pondered for a moment before saying, "Indeed, it's a bit off the rules. We can discuss this matter again."
"But Coulson, I agree with your point. Let's not engage in conflict with them for now. Our main goal should be to obtain more comprehensive intelligence."
"Natasha, what have you gained from your end?"
Natasha flicked her fiery red hair and then spoke, "I will try to establish a friendly relationship with them, but I feel it's not easy."
Upon hearing Natasha's words, Nick Fury emphasized, "If that's the case, be cautious and don't provoke them. You already have the identity of a special agent when meeting them, so make good use of this."
"Perhaps in the environment they grew up in, what they value more is honesty and sincerity. You should handle the details yourself."
"Understood, Director!" Natasha replied.
"Coulson, you stay. The two of you can go out first."
Natasha and Barton exited the room. Seeing Barton about to leave, Natasha tugged at his arm and then said, "Barton, don't act recklessly."
Barton stopped in his tracks, turned to face Natasha, and calmly said, "Natasha, I didn't act recklessly. You know that what happened earlier was not in accordance with the rules."
Natasha shook her head and then said, "Forget it, let's go have a drink together. Maybe you're not in a good state today."
Upon hearing Natasha's invitation, Barton didn't refuse. His state today was indeed not good, and he needed a good drink.
In the office, after Barton and Natasha left, Nick Fury discussed with Coulson the direction of the intelligence they needed to understand, as well as which issues were not so sensitive and could be tested through successive commissions.
Also, they discussed how many energy blocks they would need to bring next time, considering that Charles had hinted at raising the price next time.
