After a week, Evangeline and Noah could be seen sitting close to Joseline watching her every move like watchmen.
"How is she?" An angelic voice came from the stairs of the egress door.
A beautiful woman was descending the egress stairs into the room with a grace and poise that belied her petite stature. She was dressed in a short black skirt and a white shirt that sparkled with tiny crystals, making her look like a walking disco ball.
In her hand was a big book and a look of serenity in her eyes yet apprehensive.
"Stop," Noah ordered the woman who was almost close to Evangeline. Instantly, she obeyed and stopped, keeping her face calm.
"Who are you?" Noah's heartbeat picked up. "How did you get in here?" He was ready to defend and attack if need be.
"My lady," Evangeline called in bewilderment. "What are you doing here?" She bowed.
