"I can sense that you and the Doctor are hiding something about Joseline from us. Now tell me, what do you know Jefferson?" Evangeline said, making Jefferson's whole body wash in fear.
Jefferson hesitated, his mind racing as he tried to come up with an answer. "Gra–Grandmother," He stammered, his voice trembling.
Evangeline's eyes narrowed, and she took a step closer to Jefferson then pressed the button beside her and the ding sound indicated that the elevator closed. "Don't lie to me," She said, her voice low. "Tell me what you know."
Jefferson's heart pounded in his chest, and he felt like he was going to faint. He knew that he couldn't keep this secret from Evangeline, but he also knew that telling her the truth could put him into deeper trouble.
Evangeline thought of a better way to speak to him so he would feel comfortable and say everything to her.
"Let's find a better place and make sure you will tell me everything."
