"Grandmother, Please forgive me for what I have done." Jefferson's head lowered ashamed to look her in the face.

"Is what they said true, you were trying to run away with Joseline?" Evangeline asked but before Jefferson could answer, the door opened gently and Lilian hurried into the room.

"Grandma! Jefferson!" Lilian screamed excitedly seeing Evangeline and Jefferson in the room. Immediately she hurried to hug the two.

"Oh Lilian, my dear. I'm so happy that you two are safe." Evangeline enveloped her in a long warm embrace. "Good thing that Jefferson was able to find Joseline and save her, he told me she was in the hospital so I had to inform you and hurry to come here, I couldn't just wait at home." She lied again covering up Jefferson.
