Capítulo 32: The foreign feelings

Alec's POV

"A black magic puppy, are you kidding?" Skylar snorted in disbelief.

"No. I can make anything to—"

I didn't hear what the witch babbled on, my focus was entirely on Skylar.

The way her brows furrowed in disbelief, the way her lips parted slightly. It was as if she was trying to make sense of what that little menace was saying.

Damn her.

She had no idea how close she had come to death, and yet here she was, expressing herself so freely, making a mess of me… my heart to be precise.

I clenched my fists as I tried to ignore the unfamiliar feeling. I hated it! I despised it. I wasn't supposed to feel this way. But every time I looked at her, something inside me twisted.

Why did she make me feel this way? Why did the thought of losing her terrify me? Wasn't it the plan? To lose her? Why was I failing so miserably?
