Capítulo 34: Are you okay now?

Alec's POV

I was losing it.

Pacing back and forth in my study, I had done nothing for last few hours. There were so many things to focus on. But I couldn't focus, miserably dismissing everyone.

The image of Skylar lying there, pale and motionless, still haunted me. The thought of her getting hurt still twisted my insides in ways I didn't know were possible.

I needed to clear my head.

My skin tingled, itching for release and before I knew it, I was shifting… fur replacing skin, claws digging into the hardwood floor.

My wolf, Sam, snarled in frustration. "Leave the damn house now." He muttered, eager to escape the confines and run.

So, I let him.

We bolted out of the packhouse, past the guards, and into the woods. The one I brought Skylar to. Here, she found the dead body, and was scared as hell. It was because of me. I was the one to blame. I left her alone, and let her find the body.
