Capítulo 44: Another Test?

Logan sat there, waiting for the inevitable. Despite Kira's calm expression, he knew she was about to give the order for her guards to drag him away. Kira's expression changed, and she burst into laughter.

Her reaction caught him off guard as Kira covered her face, wondering if she had gone manic.

"What…?" Logan said, but Kira just kept laughing.

After a few minutes, Kira composed herself, though her hand remained on his thigh.

"Oh, 208," she said, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. "You thought I was going to kill you, didn't you?"

Logan stared at her as if he had heard the wildest thing. She'd been the one who told him to choose between her and death. How could he not expect her to kill him?

Watching his confused expression, Kira leaned in, still smiling.

"This was all a prank," she said, waving her hand dismissively. "Widow and I set you up."

"A prank?"
