Capítulo 29: Development

The blacksmith shop which Lin Cian visited a year ago is not present at its location. Instead, there was a huge and clean building than before.

"Look like they have made some maintenance" muttered Lin Cian as he wore a smile on his face. He concluded that the building was renovated. He went to the entrance. When he saw into the shop he could see a huge table at the entrance.

'huh, the reception is larger than the shop now' Lin Cian exclaimed internally. When he was about to enter a young lady blocked his way. She wore a neat dress blue in color. Her hair is dark as gold. She is so beautiful most importantly she wore a smile on her face.

"Hello mister, I don't think this is the place for you"

"mm... I don't think so" he replied with a slight smile.

"This is a place for weapons of high quality and high grade. I don't think you can afford it"

Lin Cian was shocked and also confused.

'What's happening here? Are the previous owners moved away from here?' Lin Cian decided to solve his doubts.

"Is this...."

"you can leave" before he could ask something he was intervened by another female voice. The voice felt familiar and matured but doesn't seem to be told towards him.

When he turned towards the direction of the sound he could see the lady who welcomed him a year ago walking towards him. The young woman who stood at the entrance bowed her and went to the reception table and stood beside.

'I remember her name. It must be Leena' Lin Cian thought himself. The woman smiled at Lin Cian and bowed at him.

"Welcome again young master. I am surprised at your visit" Lin Cian couldn't help but turn back to see if someone is standing beside him. For much of his disappointment, there is no one behind him.

"Are you calling me?" he asked the woman.

"You are Cian right?" Leena asked him with a smile. Lin Cian nodded at her because he hasn't recovered from the shock. Leena look towards the table and said to the young woman to take over the reception and took Lin Cian inside. The young woman on the other hand is very much shocked and didn't dare to look at Lin Cian's face.

"Please don't take her seriously. She is new here and has no idea about you" said Leena.

"Let's forget that. Is it possible to make my dagger?"

Leena smiled at him "Follow me" she said and walked towards the stairs and they went to the first floor.

When they went to the first floor the place is filled with many treasures and weapons. He hasn't seen these treasures in his previous visit and it is not possible to make so many of them in a year gap.

"Have you hired any blacksmiths?" Lin Cian asked because a weapon will take at least 4 months to make by a skilled craftsman and also her husband is a bladesmith but there are armors and other types of metal works. By seeing this Lin Cian concluded that they must have hired more blacksmiths.

"your eyesight and memory are too good" she smiled at him and continued "Thanks for your knowledge. My husband wanted to accomplish it. But we are short in money and also it needed time and dedication. So at first my son took over the blacksmith shop and hired some blacksmiths and bladesmiths. After some months the shop was developed. And a small size noble family engaged their daughter to my son who you saw at the entrance. Their family business is the raw materials. My husband successfully developed your request and applied it to many weapons and it shook the area. So there's been many customers which eventually led to the development of the shop."

Lin Cian was shocked by hearing this and turned around to look at the treasures. Leena saw this "I know what you are thinking. It is much to happen in a year. Even we haven't come out of the shock. We always wanted to provide something better for my son and it happened because of you. We started to purchase some metals through the family and that leads him to visit the young miss of the family and it lead everything."

"Ooh!" Lin Cian recovered from the shock and said "Congratulations" with his hand cupped.

"Thank you" she replied and gestured him to enter into a room.

There was a small cupboard. From the cupboard, she took a box and opened it when Lin Cian saw the thing inside the box his heart was stopped for a moment. There were two reasons for that one was the thing he saw was absolutely beautiful and the next one is the thing is priceless and he can't afford it for now.

Inside the box, there was a dagger of nearly one foot in length was laying quietly. The handle was made of jade and embedded with gold and ruby. The jade itself made his mind refreshing. Usually, the handle would have the hilt, the handle piece and the pommel made of separate materials. But in this case, the handle was made as a single piece. The blade was shining and it was inlaid in gold and was tapered to the shape of a feather. Lin Cian saw it as his jaw dropped unconsciously.

Leena saw a slim youth drop his jaws and look at the dagger and cleared her throat which recovered the consciousness of him. Before he could speak Leena started to speak.

"Only a few people in our shop have the idea to make this kind of multilayered blade. Thus we only made a few spearheads in this manner. We need time to adapt this method to make big and heavy swords. So I think this dagger would be able to cover your share for the past 4 months."

'What the ....' Lin Cian never thought something like this would happen. He never thought someone would be this fair. They patented his knowledge in his name and are ready to share a part of the profit made by the weapons made in that way.

"Can you please accept this offer and make a contract with us?" the lady asked while wearing a great smile but her face showed Lin Cian that she was eager and sincere.

"Why not?" said Lin Cian only to make her shocked.

"Do you want to reconsider? We are just a small shop. You can also sell these patents in the blacksmith guild and it will give you an immense amount of profit and...."

"They won't take me in" he interfered with those words. Blacksmith guild is a large guild and those people won't be interested in the knowledge of a small guy who is not even a blacksmith.

Leena was quite surprised and was thankful enough to Lin Cian for signing a contract with them. Then he also led them to think of a new way of development.
