Capítulo 38: Undisturbed Lance

"I'll get some dessert," Chiaki stood up, hauling her butts to the fridge in another room, trying to brace herself for the incoming deluge of rising voices or (potentially from Gin) curse words. She wasn't trying to be avoidant, but with all the possible showdowns on the first day of the year, between the two closest people to her even more so, her problem couldn't just be solved with a hot cup of tea.

She shot a quick message to Azure from her holodev when she was still undecided about which cake to serve. The pastry sent by Lance Hua had only two pieces left. They wouldn't do well if Chiaki brought the box to the dining table, both guys would fight over who got the last piece since the other one would be given to her. 

A late good morning to you, and now the problem is no longer on my doorstep. It's in the dining room.
