Adeline didn't want to say, but knowing he wouldn't drop it unless she did, she sighed, averting her gaze. "You smelt different than you usually did."
"Huh?" Caesar was confused, his brow rising. "What do you mean?"
"You usually have this nice smell that I like on you which is from your perfume," Adleine began to explain, expressing with her hands. "But just this morning, you smelt very different, like something I can't wrap my head around."
