Surviving as a Cleaner in the Apocalypse

The Apocalypse had been occurring for who knew how long now. They were born into it, and they died in it—only to become part of the problem in the end.

And yet, humans weren't doing all that bad.

They persisted, rebuilt and regrew civilization and cities, founded corporations for defense against the zombie hoards, and they managed to somehow prosper against the difficulties and challenges.

Some were even blessed by a mysterious power, gaining powers that surpassed humanity; these powers were called Stigma's, and many Stigma Users led the forefront against the zombies, for the recovering remains of humanity.

However, the virus and the enemies are no longer what they used to be, and only those who no one believed in noticed the changes.

And he was one of the ones who noticed but nobody believed. To go with the crowd or to forge ahead was the decision he was faced with.

Either way he would lose everything; it just depended on how many people survived in the aftermath.

So he fought on—and he would continue to fight, until the sorrow killed him one day.
