Capítulo 31: Gears of destiny

On a small island to the north of England was the home of the Amazons, warriors created by Zeus to protect the last treasure of the gods. Various structures, fashioned in the style of ancient Greece, were scattered across the island - houses, towers, and a grand palace at the city's center. Statues of gods adorned the streets of Themiscyra, once a bustling city but now deserted and empty, as today marked the departure of their champion, the one chosen to restore the glory of the gods - Diana, the Princess of Themiscyra.

On one of the island's many beaches, the Amazons gathered, most of them dressed in armor for this special occasion, showing their support for Diana, the champion of Themiscyra, who was about to embark on her divine quest. They were all here for her grand departure.

Diana grew up being trained for one purpose - to restore the glory of the gods. However, her mother always seemed hesitant. Diana felt she had been ready for a long time, but her mother kept telling her that she wasn't and that her enemy was much stronger than she could imagine. He was an ancient, relentless beast that left destruction and death in his wake, showing no mercy, and he would kill her at the first opportunity.

As time passed, Diana had grown, her body now sculpted, with curves, a well-endowed bust, slim waist, broad hips, strong thighs, and calves, slightly broad shoulders, arms with some muscles, and a defined abdomen - a body forged through countless hours of practice and training, as well as her instinct for survival, honed by facing ancient beasts on the island. Diana believed she was ready, and today she would leave the island to fulfill her mission, for her mother could no longer interfere.

"Diana, remember, you don't need to kill or defeat Immortal; you just need to bring back the gods, and our debt to them will be repaid," Hippolyta spoke to her daughter, who stood by her side. She had already given Diana the weapons she would use in her quest, like the Lasso of Truth, the sword, and the shield made with divine metal. Now, she was here to see Diana off. "I understand, mother, and I won't fail," Diana said, looking back at her celebrating Amazon sisters. Strengthened by their support, she boarded the ship.

Hippolyta watched her daughter vanish on the horizon. Most of the Amazons had returned to the city by now. Alone, she could finally let the worry of a mother seeing her daughter off on such a dangerous journey show on her face. Diana was all she had, and now she had left, taking her heart with her, never to return. The Queen of the Amazons remained on the beach until nightfall. The starry sky and the cold breeze of the night kept the atmosphere chilly. Hippolyta gazed into the distance, her mind dwelling on the dangers that Diana would face. Then, a noise was heard beside her, her sister had just arrived and sat down beside her. "You know you can't stay here forever," her sister said, but Hippolyta didn't reply. She simply looked at her sister and then back to the horizon. Her sister didn't say anything more; she was just there to support her, realizing that today her sister was not only a queen but also a mother.

Diana, on her divine quest, sailed the sea, enjoying the ocean's fresh breeze. It was her first time away from Themiscyra, and it was a unique experience. Without thinking about her mission, she sailed like an indomitable spirit born to be free. Days passed until one day, she got caught in a massive storm. Giant waves capsized her boat, sending it to the bottom of the ocean. Diana found herself underwater, unable to breathe. Her vision grew darker until she passed out...

At some point, she heard a sound, like two people talking. She slowly opened her eyes and realized she was on a large boat, the sun high in the sky. Her body was soaked on the deck of the vessel. Then she heard a calm and magnetic voice, "Hey, take it easy. You just almost died. Better not get up too fast." Diana looked towards the speaker and saw a man slightly taller than her, with a muscular body and casual clothes. Beside him was an older man with gray hair and peculiar attire. She was very surprised; she had seen drawings of men on the island, but seeing one in person was a whole new experience. After a few silent seconds, she remembered to ask, "What happened?" The younger man replied, "We were passing by and saw you floating around, so we decided to help. No need to thank us, really. I'm Luffy." He extended his right hand, and Diana shook it as he helped her to her feet.

"So, we were heading to England. How about you?" Diana replied, "Well, I don't have a place to go. I was sailing aimlessly until I got caught in a storm that destroyed my boat." The more she spoke, the more despondent she seemed. Seeing this, Luffy quickly said, "You can come with us to England then. It'll be great to have another crew member. You know, Franky isn't bad company, but his sense of humor isn't the best, no offense, Franky." "No worries, lad. I'm not offended," replied Franky.

Diana pondered for a moment. She had no boat and nowhere to go, so spending some time with Luffy and Franky wouldn't be bad. "Well, thank you. I'd love to." And so, a new crew member joined Luffy's boat. Meanwhile, Franky was thinking about his master's peculiar hobby of using One Piece names.
