Capítulo 16: Mana Manipulation
It was around 9am Arthur went back to his dorm with the help of his student card that had a gps. He showered, ate a large meal before heading and walking around and getting fresh air while familiarizing himself with the campus and it's locations.
His lecture was starting soon so he followed the gps and reached. It was a room similar to his homeroom classroom, lecture hall. The lecture went on for 2 hours, the Lecture about gates was quite basic and no real important information was said; probably because it was the first day.
After it was finished he decided to go to the library and relax for 2 hours before his magic manipulation class. Two hours flew by and he made his way to the location of the magic manipulation class.
Arthur opened the door and what greeted him was the sight of many students sitting on the floor crisscross applesauce. He was looking through the faces of the people sitting there, for some reason today especially felt like more people were looking at him. Then after looking for a few seconds he found Alexa sitting with her eyes closed perfectly still. He walked towards her unhesitantly before sitting on the mat behind hers.
Immediately he heard the noise of three people getting up and walking over, Arthur looked at the sight of the Genius trio moving from their spot and sitting right behind him.
'I just hope this isn't going to be some new annoying method to bother me from behind while I'm concentrating.'
Arthur thought before waiting for the teacher to come. What he didn't know was that everyone had heard the announcement that the Ventus family put out claiming Arthur as one of their own. Although it wasn't said most people knew he was an illegitimate son of a collateral, so his social standing wasn't great. But going from a commoner from the slums to a illegitimate son of a collateral from the Ventus ducal was a huge leap in status.
Some of the anger from being beaten by Arthur left as they knew he was half aristocrat. But the reason the Genius trio sat behind him is the same reason he sat behind Alexa, so he could observe how she does it and imitate her.
At first they were jealous and self-loathing then all three came to an understanding if a boy born in the slums became this powerful he probably had to go through a lot in life. So how could they be jealous without having struggled as much as him. Their jealousy was replaced with a fervent desire to grow.
Soon a woman with a nurse uniform came and entered the classroom.
'I already figured out how to use my mana to strengthen my body effectively from sparing with instructor Lupus, now hopefully she focuses on mana manipulation while using our twists.'
Arthur was thinking while the voice of the Nurse cut through the silence.
"Hello students, I am the Head Healer of this Academy, you can call me Dr. Sano, my mana manipulation using my twist is highly efficient cause I have to heal more than 100 students a day."
She said calmly, Dr. Sano had pink hair and it was in a French braid. She was wearing a typical nurse outfit with a white lab coat over it.
Arthur spent the whole class fully listening to what Dr. Sano said and used his Mana Read twist to see the flow of Dr. Sano and of Alexa and tried to fix his own.
After the 1:30 hour class was done, before getting up Arthur called out to Alexa/
"Hey Alexa"
She turned out and locked eyes with him. Seeing him holding his student card out, she was confused and didn't know what he was trying to do.
"I want to add you as a friend."
Arthur said noticing her confusion, Alexa then took out her student card and brought it in front of his. A small vibration was felt by both of them as their student card buzzed.
"You walking to our homeroom class now?"
Arthur asked smiling now, Alexa nodded.
"Alright let's go together."
Arthur was introverted because he just couldn't be bothered to talk to people, Alexa was quite anti-social because she didn't talk to anyone but her family for years now because of her past hurt from friends.
The two unlikely pair walked to their next class while the ducal trio followed behind them.
