Capítulo 6: First morning

Juliette and Luca's first morning together was a bit ambiguous. It was kinda heart fluttering, but then, also a bit heart-wrenching.

When Juliette's eyes opened in the morning, the first person that came to her mind was her father.

She had to know what had happened to him. She figured she should talk to Luca and ask him about it.

Three soft knocks rumbled from the door, so Juliette got out of bed to learn who knocked early in the morning.

When she opened the door, it revealed a maid, neatly dressed in a rust-colored satin uniform. She bowed her head to Juliette.

"Good morning, Miss Ervings. The lord had us prepare your breakfast, and if you may, please come downstairs. The lord will join you later."

"So what is this? Did he order you to treat me like a princess so I won't feel like I'm actually confined here?"

The maid innocently creased her forehead.
