Capítulo 18: Danger

The relentless annoying ringing of a phone had Juliette furrowed her forehead in irritation, but she didn't open her eyes because she was so sleepy.

The movement of someone from her side reminded her that she slept with Luca in her bed. Blood rushed through her cheeks and made them feel heavy.

'On second thought, are we actually really close now? Close enough to sleep beside each other?' Juliette murmured inside her head.

Luca groaned and reached for his phone on the bedside table. "Fuck!" he cursed under his breath.

He placed the phone on his ear, and with a dangerous tone, he said, "This better be worth my sleep, nitwit, or else I will skin you alive for fuck's sake!"

Juliette turned on her side to look at Luca, then she turned on her night light only to see Luca's raging eyes.

Juliette had no idea whom Luca called 'nitwit', but when she saw the reaction on Luca's face, she could tell there was something wrong.
