Dai Bao was already beside himself as he held his grandfather.
"Dai Bao." Song Jia spoke calmly again.
"Huhuhuhu.." He continued to cry, seemingly unable to hear her.
Song Jia's eyelid twitched.
She raised her hand and pinched Dai Bao's ear.
"Owww! Owww! Why??" He pouted at Song Jia.
"Stop for a moment. Let me check on him!" She uttered.
"Hkk..Hkk.." Dai Bao forced himself to calm down.
He sat still and no longer swayed his grandfather's body.
"Lay him flat.." She said.
Dai Bao gently put his grandfather down then moved to the side.
Song Jia took out more lamps from her space to illuminate them in the cave.
Dai Bao's grandfather and Song Jia's former subordinate, Dai Chen was looking frail. He was pale as could be. His eyes sunken and his lips chapped.
Dai Bao finally saw his grandfather much clearly.
"Did he suffer from dehydration and malnourishment?" He asked.
