Capítulo 1: Chapter 1 The first meeting
A girl who appears to be around 18 is in a bar on a rainy night.
It appears to be her first time entering a bar and even drinking.
She can become intoxicated with just one glass of wine.
Her name is Akshara.
She is the daughter of Ayden, a successful businessman in his mid-40s who maintains a very private life and who is completely devoted to his daughter.
The rest is meaningless to him.
His daughter is the reason he is alive and the reason he lives.
Also in the bar, enjoying his drink, is a young-looking man in his early 20s.
He has a beer in his hand.
Leo is the name of the boy.
He is the sole descendant of a well-known businessman, and in a few years, he will take over the business.
The fact that the young male can control his drinking while the young girl cannot is the only distinction in their drinking habits.
In addition, they also exhibit similar signs of sadness and heartbreak.
They are seated next to one another.
I'm not sure if she wanted to talk to Leo because of the drink or because of Leo.
She formally introduced herself to him, and he did the same.
Can I tell you a story, she asks?
Leo, who is typically aloof and unconcerned with his surroundings, seemed to be intrigued by her tale.
He expresses interest in her by nodding.
Then she asks him, "Do you believe that love endures forever?
I understand that he has devoted his entire life to looking after me and has never shown interest in other women, but how is it possible for him to consider sharing our lives with someone else?
Was his first love already forgotten by him?
He is perplexed, wondering about whom she is speaking.
She appears to be 18 years old and talks of taking care of herself for all of eternity.
Then he comes to the conclusion that she might be talking about a childhood friend who now appears to have a girlfriend and is drinking because she is heartbroken.
I don't know much about eternal love, but what are your thoughts about it?" he replies.
Leo style, a question for a question.
"Well, for me, love is eternity, love is for eternity, forever is love, and eternity is for love," she responds after giving it some thought.
Love is truth; it is both a sparkling diamond and a smoldering coal.
Well, what I really want to say is that love is both a dream and a nightmare.
One should be able to cherish the thrones as well; one who just wishes for flowers does not deserve it.
Even if they hurt, they are present and have a purpose.
Her answers are quite detailed for her age.
They pour themselves another glass of alcohol.
At this point, Leo is also becoming intoxicated, and Akshara is fully wasted.
Leo decides that it would not be a good idea to leave her there because she is wasted and takes her with him.
They are currently in Leo's room.
She is placed in his bed.
He is unsure now that he has taken her into a room whether he is a safer place for her than a bar or not.
He takes a chilly bath and scans the area.
He sips ice water.
He notices her suitcase and searches through it to learn more about her, but all he could find were university admissions paperwork and brochures.
The DNR University's business faculty is renowned throughout the nation.
He exits the room after writing her a message.
When Akshara awakens the following morning, it is already 9:00.
She is pretty terrified by the fact that she drank too much and woke up in a stranger's room the next morning.
She looks about the room, at her clothes, and at herself.
Everything appears typical.
She exhales with relief.
She tried to recall her memories but was unsuccessful.
She already feels depressed, so she doesn't have time to regret or mourn what happened last night.
She is healthy overall, so she doesn't give last night any thought.
She notices a letter on a nightstand that reads, "Life is lovely even when there is some pain and suffering, and if someone is happy with someone, don't you think they deserve their pleasure, even if that happiness is not with us or in our presence? You are too young to be heartbroken.
It's nice to meet you, and please don't think I'm bugging you, but before doing something like last night, think about your safety.
Akshara, I look forward to meeting you soon ".
The note makes her happy.
It seemed ridiculous to her that she would decide to leave her home and move to another city for her studies as a result of her father forgetting about her and meeting someone else.
Even though she will be upset that her father is falling in love with someone other than her mother, she now wants to bring happiness back into her father's life.
She is content, and for her as well, her father's happiness comes before her own. She was sad because her father will soon replace her mother as her only memory of her deceased mother, but she wasn't furious because he would have another woman and family with her.
Capítulo 2: Chapter 2 Moving to a new city or back to the old city
Recently she has found that her father has been talking to a woman on his phone. Her father had never been secretive about anything till now. But now he seemed to be hiding something. Is it just her doubt or has he really forgotten his Daphne, the only love of his life?
After she chose the college, her father and she went to the city to make the arrangements. Akshara knew how sad her father was when she broke the news of going to another city for the study. After coming to the city once she saw her father in a restaurant with a woman and concluded that she was the woman that he was talking to. And that was the night she drank alcohol for the first time and the night she met Leo.
After leaving Leo's room, she goes to her hotel room and freshens up herself. She takes a shower and wears a beautiful dress because now she has grown up and is going to turn a new page in her life. She knocks in her father's room. He opens up his room. She wishes him good morning and hugs him with a big smile. Her father hasn't seen her so happy in many days. No one can explain his happiness. He hugs her tightly and wishes good morning to her. Akshara takes her father for a breakfast and takes him to a Buddhist monastery where 'om mane pembe om' was playing. It is so calm and relaxing.
She says, "Papa, I cannot live without you, you know that, right? I love you the most in this world. And how can you leave me alone here? Can you live without me?" He replies with a smile and says, "You are my everything, you know that right. And how you think I am leaving you alone here. We are going to live together until you have someone who is going to love you more than myself."
Akshara said that no one is going to love her more than him. She hugs him and calls grandma into her home. She says, "We are going to live in another city together and grandma after I come there we are going to pack and live together again. Papa wants to talk to you and I am giving a phone to him. Love you". She hands her phone to her father and leaves her father to talk with her grandma she goes inside the monastery and she prays for her mother and burns an incense stick in her name. She writes a wish on a wooden piece and hangs it on a tree and asks God to fulfill her wish. It goes like this, I wish my father's every dream comes true. He deserves all the happiness and I hope he remembers my mother always. It is not that she wants her father to be burdened by her late mother's memories but it is because the only person she knows who knows her mother is her grandma and her father. So she always wants her mother to be remembered, her likes and dislikes, how she used to dress, her favorite perfume, foods, places, and many more.
After they come back to the hotel, she buys two tickets to White Bridge city where she had been living for as long as she remembers. The place where she is now is Citadel. The distance between the two cities is about 3000 miles and the flight takes about 5 hours. But there is no direct flight, so they have to take two different flights.
They reach the house and Akshara hugs grandma. Everyone can say that she is so excited and everyone including maids and guards are happy to see their little princess happy after a long time.
Akshara asks all maids to pack her father's and grandmother's clothes and books and other kinds of stuff. She is so happy that she packs her own bags. The house they are living in now, it's quite large with a big garden with beautiful flowers and fruits. It is out of the loud, noisy, polluted, and populated city. The air is so fresh, the environment is so clean and it's really pleasing. This is the place where her mother lived with her parents until that deadly accident happened and her mother lost both her parents.
Well, the only thing Akshara knows is that her mother lived there. Once she said that she feels close to her mother here. She feels as if her mother is with her always. But now she decided to move, but why?
Well, it's because first she thought her father was in love with another woman so she decided to punish both her father and herself by leaving but later she decided to take her father out from there so that he can live his life and think about another woman without being trapped with her mother's memories. But still, somewhere she wishes that her father only loves her mother but she suppresses that feeling with the thought of her father's happiness.
Capítulo 3: Chapter 3 Rushing of old memories
In Citadel city, Ayden (Akshara's father) has already bought a house a few days back during trip to the city with Akshara. The woman he met in a restaurant, whom Akshara misunderstood as her father's lover was a real estate broker. The place is as that of white bridge, lies in outskirt of city, calm and refreshing, with beautiful plants and butterflies dancing around them. It is going to take like 45 minutes ride to her university. Since father and daughter are going to the same road i.e. her father's office and her universities are close to each others, it is not going to be a problem.
In white bridge city, few maids and guards were left to take care of the house. Ayden left his business from white bridge to his one of the trustworthy manager and took over the Citadel branch.
The first day of university of Akshara, she wears her beautiful dress, the dress that she knows is that it belongs to her late mother. When she wears that dress she resembles her mother in many ways. She is as beautiful as her mother, her physical stature reminds of her mother to anyone who remembers her. She styles her hair and put on her favorite perfume, a faint lipstick and high heels. She loves wearing high heels as her mother did.
When she comes out of her dressing room, her grandma Beatrice and her father were stunned. Her father's eyes gets watery because he remembers the only love of his life, his Destiny (Destiny is the name of Akshara's mother). Grandma Beatrice hugs Ayden and asks Akshara to join the family hug.
Ayden goes out and grandma knows that he needs sometime to recollect himself because it is too painful to him. She knows that he is going to talk with her, from his memories and is going to express his love to her, talk to her and he is going to be fine. That is how he has collected himself for 17 years now.
Grandma Beatrice feeds a spoon of yogurt to both Ayden and Akshara since she believed that having yogurt before starting anything brings auspicious and good luck. This had been a regular event for them, so father-daughter had their yogurt and leaves home in a car.
Since the way is new, Akshara decides to sit in front and Ayden sits in the back of the car. He is glad that she sits in front, now he can be with his memories alone, undisturbed.
People might say love is not eternal or a person should be there to love but for Ayden, it has never been like that to him. No one can understand what he has lost in loving her but he never compared what are his gains and what are his loss in loving her. It has never been easy to him all his life, but the only thing that made his life complete was her love to him and his love to her.
His first meeting to her was in their college orientation. The dress her daughter is wearing today, she was wearing that day, side slit kurta, skinny jeans, high brown heels, her favorite Chanel Eau de Parfum, White drop earrings, brown leather bag and a notebook on her hand.
The only difference between mother and daughter is that Akshara is full of life and energy and Destiny used to be silent but observant of situation, she hides when she is in pain, she never lets other to take care of her. She cared about others and took care of them but she never let others to take care of her.
Reminiscing his old days, they reached the university. The driver opens the door to Ayden and Akshara, she hugs her father and wishes him a good day and says she will meet him in the company later after orientation is finished. He waves his hand to her and leaves the university with driver in a car. He asks him to pick her up later in the afternoon and goes to the company, DAPHNE'S COMPLEX.
