The Standard galactic year NEX time is 2330.05.15, 5 after first contact with the systems, alliance and humanity, both nations agreed on multiple treaties regarding each other's borders and trade rights as well as the limited exchange of technology.
For humanity, the discovery of alien life was a big culture shock, even knowing there could be other life other than themselves out there in the universe. It was still shocking to find it or in this case it finding them while within humanity had positive feedback to the NEX Just as many, had negative feedback mostly the Xenophobia individuals who simply just could not trust anything that wasn't human while they were not a problem they had their own political group.
As well as the systems alliance, receiving more power to the point where it doesn't obey the United Nations anymore now the system of lions is the soul only power and governing humanity. Now as they become constructing an a space station that would be the founding headquarters of the systems alliance.
As well as the additional buildup on military ships by the military advisors saying they need a bigger fleet, just in case the machines decided to attack, although the diplomatic, core disagreed with it, but all parts green more ships are required to protect their borders.
And that's a new organization was founded known only as line Ark This organization would be responsible for creating newer machines of war, as well as other technologies that would help humanity survive however, this organization was a joint project offered by the NEX In order to bring both species closer to each other through science.
It was rocky at first, but as more time passed, both species slowly begin to trust each other and different scientific projects were conducted through this organization that benefited both parties in different ways, for the NEX It allowed them to interact with other sentient life forms and for Humanity it was a chance to learn something new from someone else's perspective that wasn't human.
The slowly a new research project was offered from humanity to work together on. It was a dumb idea handed to one of the NEX Science leaders by one of the human engineers, the idea was the crate mechanize humanoid robots, also known to humanity as Mecha or mechs.
It simply started as a fun bonding project which eventually led to becoming more serious as the actual battle applications for it was honestly honestly really good, the NEX on the line ark Project ran through many simulations and potential technological paths with much trial and data leading them to conclude it. A would be very cool and B it Would bring newer options to both races.
However, before it could be approved the NEX Ask for permission from high command for such a project after all the resources pumped into line ark came from both races factions, after several months, they received the OK sign from NEX and System high command for the project as well as receiving tremendous amount of resources.
And so begin the really trial and error of building humanoid mechanized robots it was not gonna be easy but both human and NEX scientist/engineer are both eager to find out what they could achieve together while the human is far more excited than the machine man.
While the other human engineers pumps up their fists up and down yelling out Mecha!!!
