When Hayoung returned to his hut that night, he was surprised to see Sunyoung was still awake and was sitting by the clay stove, preparing something. She looked giddy with excitement as she poured it into a bowl.

"Why are you still awake?" he frowned. 

"I was making this for you!" she exclaimed. "The Young Miss said you love this dish and that I should try preparing it for you."

Young Miss? Hayoung was suddenly alert. Why would Insa inform Sunyoung about which dishes he liked?

Sunyoung put the bowl on a tray and brought it to him. He eyed the dish warily. It was a simple salmon soup.

"This…"

"Insa said you love salmon!" Sunyoung went on. "And the maid was nice enough to give me a little bit of the salmon which was leftover from the kitchen! So I brought it and made this soup for you! Do taste it."
