The kid looked fearful while Sunyoung was fuming. Hayoung looked from the scrawny boy to Sunyoung.
"This lady is taking my money!" the kid said at once. Sunyoung was affronted.
"I am not!" she protested. "I was merely asking for my money back!"
"I'm a kid!" the boy exclaimed. "I don't have any money!"
"You promised me a coin if I could break down that stone block with a pebble!" Sunyoung argued.
"Did not!"
"Did to!"
"Did not!"
"Did to!"
A nerve twitched on Hayoung's forehead as the two bickered on. He was usually an impatient man and this argument was only testing his limits.
"STOP IT!" He bellowed. Sunyoung and the kid instantly stopped and looked down, trying not to anger the man anymore.
"Stop acting like a child," he told Sunyoung. "You're no longer in your father's house. This is our village and you have to behave accordingly."
