Dominik watches me for a moment. He does that a lot. It's like he's learning my expressions, studying them, trying to decode what they mean. I've never had someone look at me quite like he does. 

"What were you really going to ask me before?" He asks finally. 

"What?" It's such an unexpected question that it catches me off guard. 

"You asked if I have a girlfriend. That's not what you were wondering." 

"It is what I was wondering. I should be prepared if any other women are going to be attacking me like Natalia did." 

"You're not carrying my baby. Why would they attack you?" There's a soft amusement to the question. 

"Were you at the same club I was at tonight, Dom? Almost every woman there wants you, and you spend all your time by me." 

Rather than the prideful smirk I would expect from anyone else, his amusement slowly dies and he drops his eyes—almost like he's guilty.
