The shadows morphed and stretched around the Creature as he struggled to find his way to Rowan's garden through Ciprian's memories alone. Just when he sensed his destination, the shadows froze.
The Creature wasn't by nature someone who could be unsettled, but the stillness of the space around him elicited a very human-like prickling of unease over what passed for his skin. He pushed forward but found that no matter how many steps he tried to take, he could never move from that spot.
The shadow limbs of a nearby tree began to elongate and coalesce into a rippling shape, slowly pouring down from overhead in a translucent form that seemed halfway between liquid and solid. It touched the ground in front of the Creature, then piled up on itself until it became a man.
Well. It's official. The Creature is a freak. LOL Maybe there's something wrong with me, too, because I really enjoy when Wren kicks our enemies. Next up, we get a couple new points of view. Hope you like them.
