Wren rapped his knuckles on the door to Nicasi's residence, letting out a petulant sigh when it didn't immediately open. "I never should have agreed to this nonsense about knocking when he's in here. You've suffered with this injury long enough. And now we have to wait for him to open the door."
"Would you like if he could just appear in our bedroom without warning anytime he wanted to pester you?" Rowan stood at Wren's side, debating whether he should just remove his ruined bandage already. It was starting to make his skin itch.
He picked at the gauze, but Wren pried his hand away.
"I do not pester him. I'm allowing *him* to pester me. He should consider himself lucky." Wren knocked even harder on the door. "But I suppose it *is* preferable to discovering him and the know-it-all fucking each other."
"I really don't want to think about that."
I'm afraid when they are finally alone, Rowan will barely even look at Wren before he finally explodes. Hang in there, buddy.
