"How do you know my name?" he asked, his voice weak and raspy."My name is Icarus, the only lord of this town. Only a few people know me by my real name. Others know me as the Lord of Eldoria. How could you possibly know?" There was a flicker of recognition in his eyes, but it quickly faded into a sea of perplexity.

Rachael hesitated, caught off guard by his question. Her heart raced, and she struggled to find the right words.

 "I... I just know," she finally replied, her voice barely above a whisper. But deep inside, she knew the truth. She knew his name because he was not a stranger to her. He was Icarus, the merman from her previous reality.

Rachael watched him closely, her heart heavy with the weight of their shared history. How could he not recognize her? The fact that Icarus couldn't recognize her was another thorn of question that splintered in her heart.
